Worldwide teams working on forest restoration are welcome to apply to the Accelerator. If any of the following apply to you:
Mutual values
Discuss the importance of restoring native ecosystems and biodiversity
Access to land
Possess rights and ongoing access to reforest at least 1,500 hectares of land
Location in the tropics or subtropics
Only organisations specialising in tropical or subtropical reforestation projects and communities are intended to receive support from the forestry accelerator.
A seasoned group
Have a staff with prior knowledge of forest restoration
Market interest in carbon
Are curious to learn more about funding for the carbon market
A long-term strategy
Are committed to restoring forests that endure for centuries and benefit the environment and communities nearby
Models for sustainable business
Have expertise in sustainable business models that complement one another, such as agroforestry and non-timber forest products.
