Researchers can anticipate a lot of input. This comprises:

  • Help with improving your proposal after submission, a $12,000 stipend to carry out the project.

  • Travel to and from Warsaw to attend the Global Forum on Nicotine (GFN),

  • An online course in the theory and practise of THR.

Successful students will need to

  • Attend GFN: All researchers must be able to travel to Warsaw, Poland, in June 2024 to participate in the Global Forum on Nicotine Conference (GFN).

  • Learn: All scholars are required to finish the online and GFN introductory courses.

  • Report: Each scholar is required to provide a 6-month progress report and an 11-month project report.

  • Share: A few scholars might be asked to return to GFN or a comparable gathering in 2025 to impart their knowledge and expertise.

  • Accord with KAC: contract with Knowledge Action Change Funding for a scholarship Source: Recognise in any outputs that Knowledge Action Change provided financing for their scholarship

  • Consent to the publication of their names, biographies, and photographs on the scholarship programme website along with any acceptable scholarship-related outputs.

Eligibility

  • The scholarship plan gives low- and middle-income country applicants priority.

  • This includes those aspiring to careers in THR research and/or as public health harm reduction specialists.

  • Filmmakers and other experts in the audio-visual field.

  • They are seeking ideas that will spur transformation!

Examples of the kinds of project proposals that the programme is looking for are as follows:

  • Scoping study on a nation’s THR priorities

  • Creating a study on the nature or application of THR goods

  • Enhancing the applicant’s scientific knowledge and abilities by connections to or placement into a research team or THR organisation

  • Creating and launching an intervention initiative to improve professional and/or public understanding of THR and associated projects

  • Establishing a group to advance THR research

  • The creation of a THR intervention project in a health and social care environment

  • Creating and distributing a film or other works of art that provide trustworthy and correct information about THR

  • Organising training sessions and workshops on THR

  • Developing THR-related science communication skills

  • Creating a research paper or other academic publication-quality content on THR

  • launching a website and/or other media assets to increase awareness about THR

  • Examining potential solutions for ‘high tech’ THR initiatives difficulties faced by less developed nations.
