The projects must involve in-depth reporting on science and its effects on society and must be unique, inventive, and time-consuming.
Financial Details
The grant is worth €60,000.
eligibility
The research’s findings must be disseminated in Belgium using a Dutch-language medium.
A project that cannot be completed through the standard routes of journalism, has significant news value and depth, and is also unique, innovative, and time-consuming, may be submitted by both beginning (starters) and seasoned journalists (seniors).
A journalist (written or audio-visual press) or someone who can demonstrate a desire to work in journalism is required as a candidate. In that regard, allusions to past work or personal experiences are crucial.
Only natural people may submit a grant application.
Investigative and special journalistic projects must focus on issues that are pertinent to Flanders.
In Belgium, the initiative must be disseminated in a Dutch-language medium. Journalists with more than two years of experience must submit a letter of intent for publishing from at least one reputable news organisation. This is first and foremost regarded as a bonus.
