iUCEA East Africa Community Student Mobility Scholarship scheme

In order to enrol in cohort one of the undergraduate programmes funded by the IUCEA East Africa Community Student Mobility scholarship scheme, qualified citizens of the EAC member states must submit an application to the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA). The IUCEA, IUCEA-Member Universities, and my parents/guardians/self are funding this scholarship.

For the academic year 2023–2024, 59 undergraduate scholarships are available in a range of fields. The chosen university programme for the Bachelor’s degree will determine the length of the grant.

eligibility

  • Possessing citizenship or residing in one of the EAC Partner States (Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda).

  • Should apply from an East African partner state other than their country of birth or citizenship to a participating university.

  • Should be eligible for admission to any of the programmes offered at a participating university, not only the one where they were born.

  • Being enrolled or eligible to enrol in the chosen university programme

  • Being forced to attend school in a nation outside the EAC (and not their country of birth or citizenship)

  • Along with the application forms is a list of the participating colleges and academic programmes.

  • Download the necessary paperwork, fill them out, and submit them before the deadline to apply.

  • Late or incomplete applications won’t be taken into consideration.
