The Hinrich Foundation Award for Distinguished Reporting on Trade honours outstanding reporting that promotes public awareness of global trade and commerce. Any professional journalist from any country who publishes material that upholds the highest journalism standards is eligible for the award. Print, broadcast, and online journalists are included here. The prize money for this award is $10,000 USD. Award recipients take part in the NPF’s yearly awards ceremony. Three renowned journalists make up the jury for this prize.

Application
You Will Need: Sample(s) of Letter of Support Work
All entries must be submitted in English.
Entry deadline is on October 2, 2023, Monday.
Eligibility
Journalism aired or published between September 30, 2022, and September 30, 2023.
Number of Entries Limit
Per news organisation, a maximum of two entries are permitted.
Instructions
Apply here once you have collected your materials (a letter and a sample of your work). You must have all necessary materials on hand because it is not possible to save and return the application later.
Winner Conditions
The National Press Foundation website will post winning entries. Your authority to do so is given by filing an application to NPF.
The recipient(s) of an award attend the NPF’s annual awards ceremony.
Newspaper Submissions
Send as many as three examples. English must be used in all publications or translations submitted. Send links whenever you can. You can attach files if links are not accessible, but they cannot be larger than 20 MB.
