Global South Arts and Health Envoy for emerging and exceptional leaders

The Global South Arts and Health initiative seeks to honour young professionals, eminent specialists, community leaders, practitioners, innovators, advocates, activists, creative influencers, policymakers, philanthropists, scholars, educators, curators, cultural producers, business owners, healthcare professionals, scientists, and researchers who are advancing the body of knowledge regarding the therapeutic effects of the arts in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The Arts Envoy is a living example of the importance of supporting arts and health practises, equity, education, teamwork, scientific research, and inspiring long-lasting creative health programming in local communities, their own countries, and all across the world.

Eligibility for Global South Arts And Health Envoy For Emerging And Exceptional Leaders

  • AIMING TO BECOME A GLOBAL SOUTH ARTS AND HEALTH ENVOY

  • In any of the following areas, applicants should exhibit leadership, influence, and impact.

  • Activism and advocacy in the arts and health

  • Charity in the Arts and Health

  • Research and policy in the arts and health

  • Education and Training in the Arts and Health

  • Innovation in technology, health, and the arts

  • Creative Arts and Health Practise (Community Involvement)

  • Leadership, administration, and management in the arts and health

  • Candidates must be of African, Asian, or Latin American heritage but living abroad, or they must

  • Have been born in one of those regions and be employed there.

  • The applicant comes from the diaspora (Global North) but has unidentified ancestry in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

  • A written application in English should be filled out and submitted by applicants.

  • An official letter of recommendation from a mentor, project collaborator, community leader, university professor, professional colleague, or a leader in the private, public, or nonprofit sectors should be submitted by applicants.

PERIOD FOR APPLICATIONS

  • Date of Opening: October 7, 2023.

  • The deadline for applications is November 7, 2023.

  • Successful candidates will be contacted between November 27 and December 7, 2023.

  • Media Announcement for the 2023 Global South Arts Envoy: December 17–December 27.
