  • Typical The role of a field officer Workplace Environment and Collaborative Partnerships Depending on the layout of the Office, the Senior Field Coordinator or the Head of Sub-Office/Field Office typically oversees the Field Officer. Minimum Requirements Education and Experience in Professional Work Experience Years/Degree Level: For P3/NOC, six years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree, five years with a graduate degree, or four years with a doctorate degree Subject(s) of Education: Politics, Law,

Language Prerequisites Proficiency in English or the UN working language of the duty station if English is not required for positions in field service and international professional roles.   • Proficiency in formulating, evaluating, and executing all-encompassing Protection and Solutions Plans

  • Proficiency in English is necessary.

  • Even though English is the sole required language, knowing another UN language, such as Arabic, would be beneficial because most refugees come from South Sudan, where Arabic is a common language among refugees.
