Applications are now being accepted for the Business Incubation Programme, a state-of-the-art business incubator run by the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), which aims to support transformative business owners with creative solutions and ventures that help with climate change adaptation or mitigation.

The School focuses on five important economic sectors: home waste management, solar power, climate-smart agriculture, energy efficiency and renewable energy, and water management and purification.
The School additionally offers targeted assistance to larger SMEs who are reconsidering their procedures and methods in an effort to be more sustainable.
The incubator is a combination of internal classes and hands-on training designed to improve entrepreneurship professionalism and provide insight into the realities of private enterprise, which is necessary to make sure that entrepreneurs have what it takes to sustain their businesses over the long term.
The extensive programme interventions offered by the School of Sustainable Entrepreneurship include:
Programmes called “High-Value Mini MBA” are available and have been carefully selected in collaboration with Coursera to foster business savvy.

Programme for Investor Readiness
Development of climate-smart products and technology
Safeguards for the environment and society, due diligence, and audits
Through its interventions, the School of Sustainable Entrepreneurship challenges the attitude of its entrepreneurs, nurturing and deepening their focus on sustainable commercial success while also highlighting the importance of their work to long-term effects on Ghana, Africa, and the rest of the globe.
Award
A graduation ceremony is performed at the conclusion of the incubator, and entrepreneurs are given certificates of participation.
Number of Cohorts
The School of Sustainable Entrepreneurship at GCIC has a strict admissions policy and normally only accepts 25 entrepreneurs per cohort.
Duration
It takes nine months for the incubation to complete.
Minimum Requirements
Operating legally and for at least three (3) years in Ghana.
Three (3) full-time employees at a minimum.
Minimum gross yearly income of GHC 450 000 over the previous two fiscal years.
Must function in one of the five GCIC sectors.
Companies not operating in one of the five industries but interested in going green can also apply.
Applications from women-owned and water management and purification-focused enterprises are highly encouraged, especially those offering solutions to Ghana’s water pollution problem known as galamsey.
