After passing their trade test, candidates can get a trade certificate through the Apprenticeship Programme, which gives them access to classroom and on-the-job training that will help them gain knowledge and expertise in their chosen trade. The cost of training, personal protective equipment, payment for institutional training, on-site personal insurance, as well as a monthly stipend, are all included in the apprenticeship. Opportunities are available throughout all of our operations in Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark.
Eligibility
A minimum of a Grade 12 diploma in science, maths and English
It would be advantageous to have knowledge of relevant trade theory and another technical area relating to commerce.
A cooperative individual with independent thinking
Dedicated and very self-motivated
A flexible mind with strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent detail-orientedness and engineering aptitude
After passing a trade test, a permanent job is not always guaranteed.
Among the available trades are:
Turner and Fitter for Instruments
Electrician, Millwright, Boilermaker, Mechanical Fitter, and Welder
duties and obligations:
Adhere to the requirements of the apprenticeship and finish it successfully.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by abiding by all laws, regulations, and policies relating to health, safety, and the environment.
Obtain technical trade competencies
Respect the terms of the training contract
